Elementary

Overview

Our Elementary program consists of grades Kindergarten through fifth grade.  Lower elementary  grades are K-2 and upper elementary grades are 3-5.   Our curriculum integrates biblical truths throughout every subject taught.  Also, students participate in a weekly chapel and memorize Bible verses.  Our chapels consist of worship and, most often, an outside speaker such as a pastor or youth pastor in the community with an age-appropriate message.  We foster critical thinking, hands-on learning and problem solving.

The students participate in physical education, art, music, as well as being introduced to some technology.  These grades are also bussed to go bowling once a quarter as part of the physical education program.

Other activities/events outside of PE, music and art elementary students participate in are:

* Grades PreK-5th participate and bless the community with a Christmas performance.

* Buddy mentor program - older students are "buddied" with the younger students and they plan quarterly events/activities together.  Events/activities include reading, making crafts, playing games, etc.

*Spirit days - dress up in themes set by the student council to promote excitement and send our athletes off to state

*Week of Hope food drive competition
