Parent Involvement Program
Helena Christian School has a Parent Involvement Program which provides opportunity for families to become involved in the Helena Christian School community. These involvement hours are vital to the running of the school. If volunteer hours are not received it will require us to either contract out work or hire additional staff. This would necessitate an increase in tuition to cover additional costs. There are several opportunities to volunteer throughout the school year. Every hour of volunteer service is one PIP point and each family needs to earn 20 points a year. Unfulfilled PIP points will be billed on the July statement at a rate of $20 per point. Please see the handbook which is provided for more information on PIP points. Families with only preschool enrolled children are not required but encouraged to participate in PIP points.
Examples of hours that can be applied to parent hours are helping in classroom, with field trips, at school events (athletics, auction, etc.)
You can find parent opportunities by checking Sign Up Genius, checking in with teachers to see where you can help, reading the weekly Newsletter, checking in with the office, or watching for emails.
